Στα πλαίσια της πρώτης παγκόσμιας μελέτης σχετικά με την εξοικείωση των Ελλήνων Ιατρών Χειρουργικών ειδικοτήτων/ Αναισθησιολογίας με την έννοια της Global Surgery, έχουμε δομήσει το παρακάτω ερωτηματολόγιο. Οι απαντήσεις είναι ανώνυμες.

Το ερωτηματολόγιο απευθύνεται σε Έλληνες Ιατρούς Χειρουργικών ειδικοτήτων/ Αναισθησιολογίας που δραστηριοποιούνται στην Ελλάδα.

Σύμφωνα με το Lancet Global Surgery Commission οι επίσημοι ορισμοί για τη Global Surgery είναι οι ακόλουθοι.

"Global Surgery. An area of study, research, practice, and advocacy that seeks to improve health outcomes and achieve health equity for all people who need surgical and anaesthesia care, with a special emphasis on underserved populations and populations in crisis. It uses collaborative, cross-sectoral, and transnational approaches and is a synthesis of population-based strategies with individual surgical and anaesthesia care."

''Global surgery'' is the term adopted to describe a rapidly developing multidisciplinary field aiming to provide improved and equitable surgical care across international health systems. Sitting at the interface between numerous clinical and non-clinical specialisms, it encompasses multiple aspects that surround the treatment of surgical disease and its equitable provision across health systems globally. From defining the role of, and need for, optimal surgical care through to identifying barriers and implementing improvement, global surgery has an expansive remit."
